1086
One of the earliest written records appears for Wellesdone in the Domesday Book.
1687
Records show 11 taxpaying households in the village.
1786
The Spotted Dog pub becomes renowned across London for hosting (often violent) entertainment events.
1810
Village church leaders ban bare-knuckle boxing matches and bull baiting as they are disrupting the hay harvest.
1823
The village has just 40 houses.
1876
Willesden Green Station opens.
1890
The railway sees the population boom and approximately 50,000 people move to Willesden over the next decade.
1896
To accommodate the growing population, 4 houses a day are being built.
1910
The Electric Palace cinema opens.

The town is made a municipal borough.
